Their current legal woes, and the reason why they're currently under judicial 08:14.880 --> 08:19.380 control in Romania, unable to leave Bucharest and the surrounding county of Il Favre, 08:19.600 --> 08:24.020 originate from events involving an American girl that Tristan Tate recruited in the winter 08:24.020 --> 08:29.900 of 2021 by the name of Emma Gabby. Emma is a 21-year-old photographer and musician 08:29.900 --> 08:34.240 that the Tate brothers met at a fashion show in 2021 according to Gabby's mother. 08:34.840 --> 08:39.220 Tristan Tate began an online relationship with Emma starting November of 2021, 08:39.500 --> 08:44.860 expressing false feelings for her and promising a serious relationship if she came to Romania for him. 08:45.200 --> 08:49.060 As demonstrated in chat logs, they guaranteed her safety in Romania. 08:49.500 --> 08:53.400 Tristan paid for the airline ticket that transported her and picked her up from the 08:53.400 --> 08:59.060 airport in a blue Rolls Royce on April 5th of 2022. Tristan took Emma back to his house, 08:59.060 --> 09:03.340 which was patrolled by armed guards, and she was told the guards would not let her outside 09:03.340 --> 09:09.440 without his permission because Tate said he had too many enemies. Tristan didn't stay with Emma, 09:09.720 --> 09:13.160 instead leaving her under the control of Georgiana, and the girls' movements were 09:13.160 --> 09:17.780 monitored by cameras that the Tates could access remotely to watch her. Emma was later 09:17.780 --> 09:21.600 moved to a different property with four other girls further away from Tristan, 09:21.820 --> 09:25.620 and again told she could not go outside unless one of the other women accompanied her. 09:25.620 --> 09:29.840 Gabby was growing fearful of the brothers, coming to the conclusion that Tristan and his 09:29.840 --> 09:34.720 brother were terrible people and were actually evil. The text log between Emma, 09:34.980 --> 09:40.080 notated as bare, and her parents, whose names are redacted, describe a deteriorating potentially 09:40.080 --> 09:45.740 dangerous situation that Emma needed to get clear of, and she intended to escape the house, 09:46.020 --> 09:51.040 bringing an old Dolben girl named Aliona with her. Although the girls were planning on 09:51.040 --> 09:56.260 escaping the house on their own, Gabby's parents in the U.S. instead activated the American Embassy, 09:56.620 --> 10:00.800 who alerted Dicott in Romania, resulting in two properties owned by the Tates getting 10:00.800 --> 10:07.420 raided on April 11th of 2022, only six days after Emma's arrival in Romania. During these 10:07.420 --> 10:11.520 operations, armed guards found and rescued four women in total from these homes, 10:11.980 --> 10:17.340 including Gabby and her friend. At this time, as a result of this raid and its discoveries, 10:17.340 --> 10:22.160 authorities seized computers and personal digital devices thought to be of value to a 10:22.160 --> 10:27.980 broader investigation. Information gathered from these materials also resulted in the January 2023 10:27.980 --> 10:34.300 raids of Tristan's baby mama's condo and the home of Vlad Obu, the Tate War Room monster 10:34.300 --> 10:39.860 that we warned you about in Part 2. For the next eight months, investigators would use these 10:39.860 --> 10:44.700 devices and victim interviews to construct their case against the Tates. While the brothers 10:44.700 --> 10:49.600 continued to flaunt their lifestyle across social media, until those outlets were shut down to them 10:49.600 --> 10:55.100 in August of 2022 when Andrew Tate was banned by Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, 10:55.480 --> 10:59.600 matching Twitter's long-standing ban on Tate due to his misogynistic message. 11:00.360 --> 11:04.700 Around the same time, Andrew Tate started moaning to the press about false accusations 11:04.700 --> 11:10.040 of being swatted, including during an interview with Tucker Carlson in an obvious attempt to 11:10.040 --> 11:15.640 deflect suspicion away from him. News accounts in the United States say that the U.S. embassy in 11:15.640 --> 11:23.280 Bucharest, Romania was tipped off to your misdeeds and alerted the local authorities you might be 11:23.280 --> 11:29.140 committing human trafficking. Were you arrested for human trafficking? What happened? Yeah, 11:29.180 --> 11:33.400 I was not arrested. So what happened is I suffered from a case of swatting. It's very 11:33.400 --> 11:37.020 popular with people who were large on the internet. Many large YouTubers have been 11:37.020 --> 11:40.940 swatted. It's where you call the police and you say somebody has a gun or there's a hostage 11:40.940 --> 11:45.580 situation and the SWAT team arrives. Somebody made a phone call to the American embassy saying 11:45.580 --> 11:50.700 that I was holding women at my house. The police arrived. They investigated. They realized that 11:50.700 --> 11:54.440 nobody was in the house against their will. There was no crime committed. They said, okay, 11:54.500 --> 12:00.800 you're not a suspect. Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong. 12:03.440 --> 12:09.320 Three months later in November of 2022, Musk ended the lifetime suspension of Tate on Twitter, 12:09.680 --> 12:13.820 opening the doors to an expansion of Tate's social media influence, no longer requiring 12:13.820 --> 12:18.820 him to use his minion affiliates to spread his message, a move that allowed him now to troll 12:18.820 --> 12:24.600 people like Greta Tonberg out of the blue. Then on December 29th of 2022, more than eight 12:24.600 --> 12:29.120 months after the raid that freed Emma Gabby, after interviewing other witnesses and victims 12:29.120 --> 12:33.220 discovered during this investigation, after combing through hard drives and social media 12:33.220 --> 12:38.600 accounts, Dicott showed up at the door of Tate's compound with armed officers to haul away Andrew 12:38.600 --> 12:43.900 and Tristan and two female accomplices, holding them on suspicion of rape and human trafficking, 12:44.340 --> 12:49.140 involving six identified victims. The Tates would immediately start pleading their innocence, 12:49.400 --> 12:54.060 making declarations there was no evidence to support these charges. In response, the Romanian 12:54.060 --> 12:57.860 authorities released photos of the evidence that had taken them eight months to compile, 12:57.860 --> 13:04.580 a file totaling 70,000 pages. The following day, a Romanian judge ordered the four criminals 13:04.580 --> 13:10.880 detained for 30 days, as requested by the prosecutors. On January 4th of 2023, Dicott 13:10.880 --> 13:16.460 conducted another raid on Tate properties, seven properties in total, seizing 11 supercars on this 13:16.460 --> 13:21.820 date, along with the other assets mentioned in Part 2. These criminals lost an appeal of 13:21.820 --> 13:26.780 their detention on January 10th, and on January 20th of 2023, the detention was 13:26.780 --> 13:31.940 extended for another 30 days until February 27th, allowing prosecutors more time to continue 13:31.940 --> 13:36.040 their investigation, now focusing on human trafficking and organized crime. 13:36.880 --> 13:41.420 Another appeal of their detention on February 1st failed, and three weeks later, 13:41.620 --> 13:45.780 the brothers got another month tacked on. The brothers would be granted house arrest 13:45.780 --> 13:51.520 on March 31st of 2023, after three months of incarceration. From their warehouse hideaway, 13:51.680 --> 13:55.700 they would immediately start broadcasting across social media, pleading their innocence. 13:56.540 --> 14:02.660 As a part of the spin cycle, on June 1st, 2023, the BBC was invited to the Tate compound for the 14:02.660 --> 14:07.640 first mainstream media interview since their arrest, more on what happened here a little bit later. 14:08.520 --> 14:13.580 Three weeks after the BBC interview, on June 20th of 2023, the formal indictment against 14:13.580 --> 14:18.560 all four named criminals came down, outlining charges of human trafficking in a continued 14:18.560 --> 14:24.380 form, rape in a continued form, and organizing a criminal group, along with several other 14:24.380 --> 14:29.560 smaller crimes. These are charges that are moving forward against them, and we're going to dissect 14:29.560 --> 14:34.840 them in detail. To bring us up to date, while we were writing this finale, the Tates were 14:34.840 --> 14:40.120 granted leave from their house arrest on August 4th of 2023, and were moved to judicial control, 14:40.420 --> 14:44.480 which is the equivalent of being out on bail. A move that sparked a social media 14:44.480 --> 14:48.360 avalanche of claims that the Tates were innocent, the charges had been dropped, 14:48.680 --> 14:52.840 and that they were now free men. Another series of lies that we are going to break down 14:52.840 --> 14:56.120 as we discuss the charges against these four co-conspirators. 14:57.220 --> 15:02.200 Starting with the charges of human trafficking, both Andrew and Tristan Tate are accused by the 15:02.200 --> 15:07.700 Romanian authorities as trafficking victims using the Lover Boy method, also known as the Romeo 15:07.700 --> 15:12.000 Pimp method, where traffickers try to get potential victims to fall in love with them. 15:12.400 --> 15:16.100 And of course, a pimp is a person that controls and financially benefits from 15:16.100 --> 15:21.260 the commercial sexual exploitation of another person. Being Lover Boys is something 15:21.260 --> 15:25.600 the Tates have both denied in interviews, feigning ignorance as to what that means, 15:25.880 --> 15:28.440 while giving their audience completely false information. 15:28.680 --> 15:31.600 So even with this garbage they're hitting me with, human trafficking. 15:32.420 --> 15:34.520 So they come along and they said, oh, you're a human trafficker. I said, well, 15:34.560 --> 15:36.980 I've never transported anyone. I've never kidnapped anyone. I've never restricted 15:36.980 --> 15:40.080 anyone. I've never held anyone. I said, no, but you're a human trafficker via the 15:40.080 --> 15:43.120 Lover Boy method. I said, what's that? It's where you pretend to love them. 15:44.300 --> 15:50.380 So what, being nice? So I was nice to some girls 10 years ago? Is that my crime? 15:51.260 --> 15:56.080 Maybe I did love them. But we're not together anymore. So what? I pretended? Combined, they will constitute a campaign 16:44.020 --> 16:48.620 of misinformation that we are going to help shine a light on as we wallow through this muck. 16:49.220 --> 16:52.920 Two of the most recent interviewers, namely Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, 16:53.380 --> 16:57.240 have been acting especially dense when it comes to the tapes and what they're charged with, 16:57.560 --> 17:01.860 ignoring publicly available international definitions for what human trafficking is, 17:02.060 --> 17:06.000 as an example. Here's how they danced around the human trafficking definition 17:06.000 --> 17:10.520 during their interviews, instead of going into them with a clear understanding of the subject 17:10.520 --> 17:14.760 matter. I was already extremely financially successful. I was already a father. I was already 17:14.760 --> 17:18.860 very well known. I had no financial motivation. I have no criminal record. It's not my personality 17:18.860 --> 17:26.080 profile, but I woke up the age of 35 and decided to make girls do tick talk to enrich myself 17:26.600 --> 17:29.020 with the pennies that I would earn from tick talk views. 17:29.940 --> 17:35.380 So in the United States, I think the belief is that you were charged with human trafficking. 17:35.780 --> 17:38.940 Yeah, that's human trafficking because what you do is you force a girl to work against 17:38.940 --> 17:43.080 her will for financial gain. That's human trafficking. And their justification for this 17:43.080 --> 17:47.400 is that girls do tick talk. Some girls I know who they found who say they're not victims 17:47.400 --> 17:50.800 have tick talk accounts. How do you force someone to do tick talk videos? 17:51.540 --> 17:53.560 I guess the prosecutor is going to have to explain that, isn't he? 17:54.220 --> 17:58.240 And then I realized how closely pornography is related to human sex trafficking. 17:59.000 --> 18:03.660 Real sex trafficking, not tick talk. And yeah, we should talk about that because they are 18:03.660 --> 18:06.900 kind of stretching the definition of sex trafficking in your case. I've taken a look at it. 18:06.900 --> 18:12.640 But I'm confused as to how what you're being accused of constitutes human trafficking. 18:12.920 --> 18:17.100 Well, it's a very loose, it's a very loose law. It's a very, I mean, 18:17.600 --> 18:19.540 but the term doesn't seem to have a real definition. 18:19.680 --> 18:23.500 No, no, it doesn't, especially when you understand that the Romanian alleged 18:23.500 --> 18:28.200 victims who say they're not victims have lived in this country for 10 to 15 years 18:28.200 --> 18:31.960 before I ever showed up here. So I'm not sure how the trafficking took place. 18:31.960 --> 18:37.760 Human trafficking is not in any way an ambiguous term, and it has not been stretched in this case 18:37.760 --> 18:41.620 whatsoever. There are a number of ways one can be considered a human trafficker, 18:41.840 --> 18:47.260 and they're all laid out in black and white. Here's how human trafficking is defined by the 18:47.260 --> 18:52.660 United Nations trafficking and persons protocol. If one of each of these criteria is met, the 18:52.660 --> 18:57.800 person is a human trafficker by definition. They could, for example, transport persons, 18:57.800 --> 19:03.500 they have abducted for the purpose of removing their organs. They could harbor persons through 19:03.500 --> 19:09.460 abuse of power to use as slaves. What the tapes are accused of in their criminal proceedings 19:09.460 --> 19:13.920 is recruiting through deception for the purposes of sexual exploitation. 19:14.720 --> 19:19.460 The actual wording across all charges reads similar to this, with small variations 19:19.460 --> 19:23.900 depending on the victim. The defendant, Andrew Tate, using the Instagram application, 19:23.900 --> 19:29.460 while in Romania, recruited by deception the victim by falsely inducing her about the intention 19:29.460 --> 19:33.780 to establish a family-marriage relationship and the existence of false feelings, 19:34.160 --> 19:39.160 with the aim of sexually exploiting her by forcing her to engage in pornographic activities. 19:39.700 --> 19:43.320 There are slight variations across the four victims attributed to Andrew, 19:43.760 --> 19:47.160 and then substitute Tristan for the three victims attributed to him. 19:48.060 --> 19:52.220 Being human traffickers is something the brothers now deny in every interview conducted 20:18.240 --> 20:22.200 with them, except there's a couple problems with these men making those claims. 20:27.260 --> 20:31.560 Sounds an awful lot like sexual exploitation and human trafficking to us, 20:32.140 --> 20:34.580 but there's some small print here that we need to highlight as well. 20:34.900 --> 20:40.080 If the victim is under 18 years old, according to this protocol set out by the United Nations, 20:40.360 --> 20:45.620 which Romania joined on December 14th of 1955, these victims are defined as children, 20:46.040 --> 20:51.460 and therefore the second criteria is not required to qualify the activities as human 20:51.460 --> 20:57.880 trafficking, meaning no matter how it was done, someone who recruits victims for sexual exploitation 20:57.880 --> 21:03.540 is every bit as much a human trafficker as another criminal that transported victims for 21:03.540 --> 21:09.200 organ removal.
