So I'm going to show you how to do that today. All you will be 01:03.830 --> 01:09.830 needing is yarn, yarn of your desired size and a hook obviously which needs to 01:09.830 --> 01:15.450 be the appropriate size of your yarn and a hair tie. You could also use a rubber band but I feel like rubber 01:29.650 --> 01:34.890 bands aren't that secure because in the heat they easily they easily snap or 01:34.890 --> 01:42.290 melt or it's just like it's easy it's faster for them to get worn out so as 01:42.290 --> 01:46.490 your hook is inside of this you'll grab your yarn sort of fold it like this in 01:46.490 --> 01:54.190 your fingers and then let your hook grab it pull it under pull under the 01:54.190 --> 01:59.610 hair tie and I'm going to take both of these strands right here both of them and 01:59.610 --> 02:04.230 pull through that loop that you have right here. So there we have the first 02:04.230 --> 02:09.090 stitch that sort of counts as a chain and what we will doing is now we will 02:09.090 --> 02:14.670 just be taking our long strand of yarn we'll be holding our yarn like this put 02:14.670 --> 02:19.810 it over your your middle finger and your ring finger and wrap it around your 02:19.810 --> 02:25.710 index twice and there we have it. So now we will going into the hair tie again 02:26.710 --> 02:34.190 from out from closest to you out this way and make grab the yarn and make a 02:34.190 --> 02:40.390 single crochet. Now do another one you also want to be going not just under 02:40.390 --> 02:44.570 the hair tie but also under this yarn tail end right here so you're going to be 02:44.570 --> 02:54.730 going under both of those once again grab the yarn pull it up like this and I'm 02:54.730 --> 03:00.430 sorry and grab the yarn again and pull through those two there I'm going to show 03:00.430 --> 03:06.250 you guys one more time how to do this go under your rubber band or hair tie grab 03:06.250 --> 03:12.550 the yarn come up grab this yarn and pull through both of them it might be a 03:12.550 --> 03:16.710 tricky the first couple stitches because you're working with a hair tie which is 03:16.710 --> 03:23.450 a little bit weird for beginners might be a little bit odd let me just do this one 03:23.450 that you want to go into the first 04:56.840 --> 05:03.200 stitch or aka braid you want to go in there with your hook what we're gonna do 05:03.200 --> 05:08.160 is do a stitch a slip stitch so you're gonna grab your yarn and usually with 05:08.160 --> 05:11.460 a single crochet you just grab the yarn and pull through both those loops but 05:11.460 --> 05:14.160 you don't want to do that for a slip stitch for a slip stitch you don't grab 05:14.160 --> 05:18.780 any yarn you just want to take that stitch that's already on your hook right 05:18.780 --> 05:24.600 here and just let it let it pull through the other one there that is your 05:24.600 --> 05:29.380 slip stitch right there and so now what you're going to do what you're going to 05:29.380 --> 05:41.800 be what you're gonna want to do That's what makes this wavy curl into your scrunchie, which makes 08:00.240 --> 08:07.220 the signature look of a scrunchie. That's how it should be turning out. I will just 08:07.220 --> 08:10.860 be doing that. Let me just do one more stitch for you guys as presentation. Wrap your 08:10.860 --> 08:16.100 hook around the yarn, go into the next stitch, pull through two, pull through two, 08:16.260 --> 08:23.120 pull through two. Wrap your hook around it twice, go into that same stitch. I have 08:23.120 --> 08:30.340 now made two triple crochets into the same stitch. Let me do one more. And there 08:30.340 --> 08:34.180 we go. So we're just going to be doing that for the whole round until you've 08:34.180 --> 08:52.400 gotten to the last stitch and I'll see you then. Okay ladies and 08:52.400 --> 08:56.840 gentlemen, I have now finished all of my triple crochets, three triple crochets in 08:57.380 --> 09:02.300 each stitch. It's looking so cute. I love how it's turning out. I was actually kind 09:02.300 --> 09:06.740 of just going to make this like just as demonstration and unravel my work just 09:06.740 --> 09:11.000 so I can make this video because like we use this hair tie but like now that I've 09:11.000 --> 09:15.560 made it it's looking so cute. I just want to keep it for myself. So now we 09:15.560 --> 09:19.900 have gotten to the end stitch. You can see this like a little gap between these 09:19.900 --> 09:25.060 two. We're going to do the exact same thing as we did last round when we 09:25.060 --> 09:28.680 finished the round of single crochets. You're just going to go into this stitch 09:28.680 --> 09:33.460 and make a slip stitch. So just to present you guys again, you're just 09:33.460 --> 09:37.340 going to grab the yarn and instead of grabbing yarn and pulling through 09:37.340 --> 09:42.120 both of these loops, you're just going to take this loop that you have on your 09:42.120 --> 09:46.080 hook and let it pull through the other one. Alright and now once you've 09:46.080 --> 09:48.580 gotten that far you're just going to want to take your scissors, cut the 09:48.580 --> 09:53.220 yarn about like this long and then weave in your ends with the darning needle. Just 09:53.220 --> 10:00.100 sort of come in and out with your darning needle and there you have it. Honestly I 10:00.100 --> 10:06.100 just want to keep this. It's looking so adorable. I love it.
